Company History

1996 Release model 22X, which is a desktop mounted parts verification equipment.
1997 M&S is established by spinning-off from Nihon Marantz to develop and manufacture image recognition inspection equipment. Increase in capital to 25 million Yen.
Change the company name to M&S Electronics Ltd.
1999 Increase in capital to 98 million Yen.
Release L22X series (in-line type).
2000 Change the company name to Marantz Electronics Ltd.
Release fw series with a digital camera and dPM3400 board partitioning machine.
2002 Four factories of Nihon Marantz Ltd. are spun off from Nihon Marantz and become part of Marantz Electronics Ltd. Release fv series AOI which is capable of solder fillet inspection.
2005 Release DL series with coaxial lighting.
2006 Relocate head office to Godo-cho, hodogaya-ku, Yokohama.
2008 Release successor HDL series with a wider field of view and higher magnification and U22X series equipped with RGB multi-lighting.
2011 Establish MEK Europe B.V. in the Netherlands.
Release MPLC-11 portable AOI with LED lighting.
2012 Brand logo changes from marantz to mek.
Release F series, which is capable of faster inspection.
2014 MEK Europe B.V. establishes a sales office in Las Vegas, U.S.A.
Release a bottom-side inspection AOI equipped with side cameras that enables inspection of the DIP surface without reversing the board.
2015 Release the cost-effective V22X series and world’s first desktop 3D AOI.
2016 Release in-line type double-sided simultaneous AOI with side cameras (World's first with 18 cameras on both top and bottom)
2017 Addition of V22X series with large-size board-compatible models.
Release large-size board-compatible models for bottom-side and double-sided simultaneous AOI, and promotes DIP inspection needs.
Acquire ISO Management System（ISO9001、ISO14001）
2018 Establish MEK Shanghai Ltd. and starts operation.
2019

Release UV coating agent AOI (in-line and desktop) and desktop multifunctional AOI.
2022

Release J series with laser height measurement function.
Release X02WB, an off-line 3D bottom surface AOI.

Head office relocated from Yokohama Business Park North Square I to North Square II.
